EU Grain Prices Soar Amid French Corn Harvest Woes
Grain prices in the European Union are on the rise due to concerns over a poor corn harvest in France. The country's lowest corn harvest since 1976 is expected to reduce the overall supply of grain, driving up prices.
The price of corn on the MATIF exchange has reached 266.25 euros per metric ton for delivery in November 2026.
This development may lead to increased consumption of feed wheat, further pushing up wheat prices. On the European Euronext exchange, December contracts rose by 0.6% to 246.75 euros per metric ton, reaching their highest level since July 24.
