Euronext Wheat Prices Soar Amid Black Sea Disruptions
Euronext wheat futures have reached their highest level in nearly four weeks due to disruptions in Black Sea grain exports. The December wheat contract on Euronext surged 1.8% higher, closing at €241 per metric ton.
This comes as traders anticipate that the ongoing conflict will redirect demand towards Western Europe. Market participants reported increased discussion of importers exploring alternative sources after a period of reduced demand this month.
The front-month contract on Euronext finished flat at €227.25 per ton, with continued unwinding of the September futures contract nearing expiration.
