Euronext Wheat Traders Reduce Net Long Position
Non-commercial market participants in wheat futures and options on Euronext reduced their net long position to 141,425 contracts by August 7. This decrease is from 153,622 contracts the previous week, according to data released by Euronext.
Commercial participants decreased their net short position in milling wheat to 150,240 contracts from 160,690 contracts a week earlier. Commercial participants accounted for 63% of total short positions, while non-commercial participants made up 37% of those positions.
The data also showed that commercial long positions represented 38.8% of total long positions, and non-commercial long positions made up 61.2% of those positions. Non-commercial market participants reduced their net long position in wheat futures and options to 57,807 contracts from 64,592 contracts a week earlier.
