Europe Gas Prices Soar Amid Storage Worries
Natural gas prices in Europe have risen to their highest level in over three years as the continent heads into autumn, and storage facilities remain below typical levels for this time of year.
Bulgaria's gas storage facilities were 65.34% full on September 8, slightly lower than the EU average but ahead of major economies like Germany, which had just 54.75% capacity.
The International Energy Agency is warning that Europe needs to boost its emergency gas reserves to respond to potential supply disruptions during winter, when demand peaks.
