European Gas Stocks at 67% Capacity Ahead of Winter Season
Europe's energy markets are facing fresh winter price shock fears due to low natural gas storage levels. According to Greece's Oikonomikos Tachydromos (OT), European gas storage facilities are currently around 67% full, compared to past years.
This is raising concerns about the impact on energy prices ahead of the winter season. Rising oil and petroleum product prices are also adding pressure to the market.
As a result, heating fuel prices could increase by as much as 60%, potentially affecting household budgets. The Greek government is reportedly considering additional support measures.
