German engine manufacturer Everllence is expanding its presence in the US data center market. The company has signed a deal to supply 480MW of gas engines to an unnamed developer for a new data center project.

The 24 high-capacity engines, known as the 18V51/60G model, will provide stable power quality and ensure maximum reliability, according to Johann Stocks, head of Power, Americas at Everllence. These engines can run on natural gas, hydrogen, and biofuels, making them a versatile option for data centers.

The project is expected to commence deployment in mid-2026, with the first phase focusing on engine delivery. This marks one of Everllence's most significant off-grid data center projects in the US, solidifying its position in the rapidly evolving digital infrastructure sector.
