Explora III Sets Sail with Luxury and Sustainability
Explora III is the latest addition to the Explora Journeys fleet, and it's clear that luxury and sustainability are at the forefront of its design. At nearly 20 meters longer than its sister ships, Explora I and Explora II, this new vessel offers a whopping 19.5 square meters of public space per guest - one of the highest ratios in the industry.
The ship is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is equipped with green technologies such as shore power, which allows it to connect to the electricity grid at ports with the necessary infrastructure, switching off its engines while in port. This commitment to sustainability sets a new standard for the cruise industry.
According to Antonio Di Nenno, brand director of architecture & design, 'the true evolution of Explora III is our concept of informal luxury, which is now even more refined and consistent throughout every part of the ship.' The redesigned lobby is a showcase of this philosophy, featuring an asymmetrical staircase in Sicilian pearl marble and Sahara Noir, illuminated by Venini chandeliers.
Explora III will be calling at ports in Northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland, and North America during its inaugural season, offering guests the chance to explore some of the world's most fascinating destinations. With its focus on luxury amenities and environmental protection, this ship is sure to make a splash in the cruise industry.
