ExxonMobil Awards Over $1.1 Billion in Contracts for Mozambique LNG Project
ExxonMobil has awarded over $1.1 billion in pre-investment contracts for Mozambique's Rovuma LNG project, a massive liquefied natural gas development estimated to cost around $30 billion. The contracts cover engineering, procurement and manufacturing of subsea production systems, large-bore production valves, and offshore line pipe.
OneSubsea UK Limited and OneSubsea AS were awarded the largest contract for Phase 1 of the project, valued at over $500 million. Aker Solutions Mozambique will support in-country work for the contract.
Other major contracts were awarded to Advanced Technology Valve, Corinth Pipeworks, Sumitomo Corporation of Americas, and Zhejiang Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals. The companies will manufacture large-bore production valves, submerged arc welded line pipe, seamless line pipe, and mechanically lined pipe, respectively.
Corinth Pipeworks will manufacture approximately 250 kilometers (120,000 tons) of longitudinally submerged arc welded linepipe for the project's offshore pipeline network, including anti-corrosion coating and concrete weight coating scopes. The award is valued at between $200 million and $250 million.
