ExxonMobil Stays Committed to Middle East Despite Diversification Plans
ExxonMobil's CEO Darren Woods emphasized the company's commitment to pursuing opportunities in the Middle East, despite its efforts to diversify its production. The oil giant is working on several liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects, including one in Mozambique, where it hopes to make a final investment decision later this year.
The Papua New Guinea LNG project is also expected to be sanctioned during the same period. Woods stated that the Middle East remains an important source of natural gas due to its long-term importance to global energy markets.
