Fed Decision, Crude Oil Prices, and Geopolitics to Drive Bullion Market Volatility
The gold and silver bullion market will remain volatile this week due to several key drivers. The US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision on September 15-16 will set the direction for precious metals, with Chairman Kevin Ward's comments likely to be closely watched.
Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst at LKP Securities, noted that gold prices will remain highly sensitive to Fed commentary and crude oil movements. He added that a decline in crude oil prices or a change in the US Federal Reserve's hawkish stance could support a gold recovery.
Pranab Mair, senior vice president of EBG - Commodity and Currency Research at JM Financial Services Ltd, also emphasized the importance of central bank decisions. He noted that investors will be watching monetary policy announcements from the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan after the Fed.
