Fetterman Backs Trump's Venezuela Oil Deal as Smart for Global Energy Needs
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) recently weighed in on the Trump administration's Venezuela oil deal, calling it 'smart' to have control over the country's vast oil resources.
In a discussion on Newsmax TV's 'The Record,' Fetterman acknowledged that the outcome is still uncertain but expressed approval for President Trump's efforts. He pointed out that under Joe Biden's presidency, a $25 million bounty was placed on the head of the former leader, effectively incentivizing his capture and trial.
Fetterman stated, 'it's smart, in order to have control over it, to make sure that we can produce oil and the necessary energy.' He noted that as the world's demand for energy is expected to increase, having a stable supply from Venezuela would be beneficial.
