Fire at Aramco's Jazan Refinery Quickly Extinguished
A fire broke out at Aramco's Jazan refinery in southwestern Saudi Arabia on Sunday, but was quickly brought under control by firefighters.
The Saudi Energy Ministry reported that there were no injuries during the incident and that the relevant authorities were completing procedures to deal with the situation.
Jazan is a key oil facility that processes 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produces refined products including gasoline and ultra-light sulfur diesel.
The refinery was previously shut down on July 27 following an attack by Yemen's Houthi militants that damaged the plant's Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) complex and tank farm area.
