Fitzroy Minerals' Caballos Copper Project Shows Promising Anomalies Ahead of 2026 Drilling
Fitzroy Minerals Inc., a junior explorer with significant potential in the copper market, has made notable progress at its Caballos Copper Project in Chile's Valparaiso region. The company recently completed a deep induced polarization survey that outlined several large chargeability anomalies, which align with earlier MobileMT conductivity data and 2025 drilling results.
The anomalies point to a potentially extensive porphyry-style system, indicating the presence of disseminated sulphide mineralization typical of copper systems. Prior drilling on the edges of these zones has already returned significant copper, molybdenum, and gold intercepts, underscoring the project's economic potential.
The survey reached depths of approximately 1,500 meters with magnetotellurics extending further, providing a three-dimensional view of the subsurface. The company plans to begin a five-hole, 5,514-meter drill program in September 2026, targeting the cores of the strongest anomalies.
