Despite oil prices increasing last week, Florida's gas prices saw a slight decline. According to AAA, the state average dropped by one cent per gallon, falling from $3.88 on Sunday of the previous week to $3.87 yesterday.

The U.S. price of crude rose by 5% to $82.40 per barrel on Friday, and gasoline futures also increased by 20 cents compared to the week before. However, this did not translate to higher gas prices in Florida, where drivers saw a brief respite at the pump.

Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA - The Auto Club Group, noted that if crude oil remains elevated, drivers could see renewed upward pressure at the pump, limiting how much further prices fall in the near term.
