Florida Gas Prices Hit $4 Again Amid Low Oil Supply
Gas prices in parts of Florida have risen above $4 per gallon again, with some areas seeing an increase of over 20 cents from last month.
The state's average price for a gallon of unleaded gas was $3.98 on Monday, up 4 cents from the previous week and 15 cents higher than a month ago, according to AAA numbers.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, noted that the national average could inch up but not spike after crude oil prices dropped following U.S. and Iran's curbed new attacks over the weekend.
The nation's crude oil supply remains at a seasonal low, with commercial inventories about 6% below the five-year average for this time of year, according to the Energy Information Administration's Weekly Petroleum Status Report for the week ending July 10.
