Florida Gas Prices Hold Steady as Oil Costs Climb
Florida gas prices have remained relatively stable over the past week, despite an increase in oil and gasoline futures. The state average for regular unleaded gasoline is $3.86 per gallon, which is the same as it was last week. In contrast, the national average has risen slightly from $4.07 to $4.10 per gallon.
The price of crude oil increased during the week, going from $84.50 to $87.06 per barrel. At the same time, gasoline futures rose from $3.27 to $3.35 per gallon. According to Mark Jenkins, spokesman for AAA - The Auto Club Group, 'Florida drivers didn't see much movement at the pump last week, even though the cost of oil and gasoline futures moved higher.'
AAA reminds drivers that gas prices can vary significantly between stations, so it's essential to shop around and avoid aggressive driving habits. Motorists can save money by using the AAA mobile app or website to find the lowest prices in their area.
