French Wheat Prices Rise as Demand Increases Amid Global Market Instability

French wheat prices rose in Paris on September 7, driven by increased demand. The December milling wheat futures contract gained 1.1% to €249.25/t ($289.5/t) on Euronext. This increase occurred despite the absence of trading activity in Chicago.

The March wheat futures contract closed at €247.50/t (approximately $287.5/t), while corn prices in Paris remained relatively stable, with November and March contracts trading at €268/t and €263.25/t respectively.

Sunflower oil, on the other hand, saw a slight decline, with December futures on SAFEX falling 0.29% to ZAR 10,316/t. Sunflower oil was quoted at $1,410/t FOB Rotterdam on September 7.
