FTSE 100 Drops Amid Copper Price Fall
The London FTSE 100 index saw its first weekly decline since early July on Friday, closing at 10,750.11 points after a 0.2% drop.
This downturn was largely attributed to a retreat in mining stocks due to the fall in copper prices.
However, software and data companies managed to bounce back with a notable deal announcement within the sector.
The midcap FTSE 250, on the other hand, experienced a modest gain of 0.1%, ending the week at 24,867.42 points.
