FTSE 100 ETFs Continue to Outperform in a Booming Market
The FTSE 100 has seen significant growth over the past year and five years, rising 19% in just 12 months and 44% over five years.
However, one financial expert believes that investing in a Footsie-tracking exchange-traded fund (ETF) could be a wise strategy in this climate.
The VanEck Semiconductor UCITS ETF has surged 120% in value over the past year and 336% over the last five years, driven by themes such as artificial intelligence and renewable power.
The HanETF Future of Defence UCITS ETF has also seen significant growth, increasing 29% over the past year and 181% since August 2021, with holdings including defence industry giants like BAE Systems and cybersecurity specialists like Palo Alto and Crowdstrike.
The iShares Copper Miners UCITS ETF (LSE:MINE) has leapt 25% during the last year and surged 135% in value over five years, with a predicted copper supply shortfall of 30% by 2035 potentially pushing copper prices through the roof.
