BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has linked the ongoing fuel crisis in Bangladesh to the ongoing war. The conflict, he said, is affecting gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies.

Rizvi made these remarks while paying respects at the graves of former president Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia on Sunday morning.

'War has created a fuel crisis. Its impact has been felt on gas and LNG supplies,' Rizvi said, adding that gas shortages had emerged in various parts of the country, while industrial operations had also been disrupted in some areas.

Despite the crisis, Rizvi emphasized that the government is trying to continue social protection programs for people. He urged the government to take necessary measures to address the situation and ensure accountability in all its activities.
