Futures Markets Slide for Corn and Soybeans on July 29

On Wednesday, July 29, markets closed with mixed results for corn and soybean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade. Corn futures saw a decline in price, with September's contract down by 10 cents at $4.48 per bushel, while December's contract dropped by 9 cents at $4.71 per bushel.

Soybean futures also took a hit, with September's contract falling by 30 cents at $11.74 per bushel and November's contract down by 28 cents at $11.91 per bushel.

Wheat futures saw a smaller decline, with September's contract decreasing by 2 cents at $6.60 per bushel and December's contract down by 3 cents at $6.76 per bushel.

The prices for the upcoming crop years also showed declines, with 2027 crop corn down 2 cents at $5.97 per bushel, 2027 crop soybeans down 15 cents at $15.03 per bushel, and 2027 Soft Red Winter Wheat down 3 cents at $8.35 per bushel.
