Futures See Mixed Movements Amid Commodity Fluctuations

The Chicago Board of Trade saw significant movements in commodity futures on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Corn futures rose by 7 dollars, reaching $5.45 for December and $5.59 for March. Soybean futures also increased, with November up 30 dollars at $13.18 and January up 30 dollars at $13.33.

In contrast, wheat futures were more subdued, with a $7 increase to $7.81 in December and $8 in March. Live cattle futures took a hit, down 27 dollars at $212.40 for October and $87 at $213.70 for December. Feeder cattle futures also declined, with September down 65 dollars at $320.80 and October down 97 dollars at $316.05.

The Ontario Pork Reports noted that the U-S CME price is down $0.61 from the previous day, reaching $90.57 per hundredweight. The 100% formula price for dressed weight also decreased, by $2.66 to $227.34 per hundred kilograms.
