Galiano Gold Inc. Shines as Record Gold Prices Boost Operations
Galiano Gold Inc., listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and NYSE American, is drawing attention as record gold prices flow through to its operations. The company's value rests almost entirely on the Asanko Gold Mine in Ghana, which it operates on a 100% basis after buying out its former joint-venture partner.
The story into late 2026 is about ramping up production while gold prices remain elevated. On August 13th, Galiano reported second-quarter results that underlined the leverage of its operations. The company produced 34,391 ounces of gold in the quarter, bringing first-half output to just over 69,000 ounces, which management described as tracking toward the top end of guidance.
The average realized gold price of about $4,432 per ounce before hedging losses far exceeded all-in sustaining costs of $2,473 per ounce. A debt-free balance sheet means the cash generated can fund growth and exploration rather than interest payments. Galiano has expanded its 2026 exploration budget to roughly $25 million, signalling confidence in extending mine life at Asanko.
