Gas Prices Plummet Across Most Regions Amid Broad Losses
Natural gas prices declined across most regions on Tuesday, as losses extended into the evening. Physical natural gas prices traded lower for Wednesday flow, affecting nearly every major market.
The weakest markets were California and West Texas/Southeast New Mexico, where cash prices fell. The Henry Hub, a key benchmark for US natural gas prices, also saw declines.
August futures are set to expire on Wednesday, which may have contributed to the price drop. However, it's worth noting that spot prices were lower in most markets, not just futures contracts.
