Gas Prices Soar Across US Following Iran War
Gas prices in the US have risen significantly since the Iran War, with an average increase of $1.25 per gallon across the country.
The largest percentage increases are concentrated in the Midwest and Mountain West regions, with states like Iowa, Oklahoma, Colorado, Minnesota, and Wyoming seeing increases of over 60%.
Iowa has seen the highest percentage increase at 69.1%, followed closely by Oklahoma at 68.8%. Other top-performing states include Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Kansas.
The average American will pay an extra $15 for a 12-gallon fill-up due to these price hikes, with annual fuel costs increasing by approximately $560 per vehicle.
The global oil supply disruption following the Iran War has pushed crude prices higher, affecting not just gas prices but also thousands of everyday products that rely on oil as a feedstock.
