Gas Prices Surge Amid Crude Oil Price Bump

The national average price for regular gasoline has increased by 13 cents to $4.27 in just one week, according to data from AAA.

This rise comes as crude oil prices have climbed back into the $100 per barrel range, a level not seen since July.

Volatile market conditions, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, are contributing to these higher oil prices and subsequently pushing up pump prices.

Notably, gas prices are currently comparable to those seen in early June, despite this being a time when prices typically decrease due to lower demand during the off-season.
