Gas Supply in Bangladesh Reaches 2,610 mmcfd Amid Higher LNG Imports
Gas supply in Bangladesh has improved, with total gas supply reaching 2,610 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) as of Tuesday noon. Of this amount, 1,620 mmcfd was supplied from domestic gas fields, while imported regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) accounted for 990 mmcfd.
The increased supply is expected to ease pressure on the gas distribution system, particularly for industries and power plants that have faced supply constraints. The use of LNG has been significant in supplementing declining domestic gas production and meeting the country's overall demand.
