Gazprom Gas Supplies to Moldova Uncertain as of May 1st
Moldova's Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita said her government has solutions in place to address potential disruptions to gas supplies from Gazprom, which could start as of May 1st. According to Moldpres, the prime minister made this statement at a news conference following a cabinet meeting.
Gavrilita noted that while Gazprom has yet to respond to Moldova's queries on gas deliveries starting from May 1st, the government is prepared for any scenario. She emphasized that the citizens will not remain without gas if supplies are interrupted.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu previously assured that Moldova had solutions to maintain energy security and supply electric energy and natural gas continuously. He mentioned that seven international companies, including those from Romania, Poland, and the Netherlands, are willing to supply gas to Moldova in case of a disruption.
