Gelum Resources Seeks to Capitalize on Record Copper Prices with Las Tinajas Project
Copper prices reached an all-time high of US$14,617 per tonne on September 8, 2026, driven by tight mine supply and rising demand from data centers, power grids, and renewable energy projects.
Gelum Resources Ltd. (GMR:CSE; GMRCF:OTCQB), a Chilean copper-gold explorer, is taking advantage of this favorable backdrop to advance its Las Tinajas project in the Maricunga Gold Belt.
The company recently completed 403 additional rock samples that extended copper and molybdenum anomalies by approximately 200 meters and 90 meters respectively at the SE Anomaly. These results strengthen the case for a potential porphyry copper system beneath a dacite porphyry plug.
