Georgia Drivers Hit Hard by Rising Gas Prices
Gas prices in Georgia are on the rise as global oil markets react to ongoing uncertainty in the Middle East. The average price for regular gasoline in Georgia is now $3.79 per gallon, a significant increase from last year's prices. According to AAA South-Georgia, drivers can save money by comparing prices and filling up where fuel costs less.
The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline rose 5 cents this week to $4.06. Crude oil prices have climbed back above $80 per barrel amid ongoing uncertainty near the Strait of Hormuz. Although gasoline demand has softened, higher oil costs continue to keep pump prices elevated.
