Georgia Gas Prices Soar Above $4 Per Gallon Amid Rising Oil Costs
Georgia's gas prices have surpassed $4 per gallon after Labor Day, driven by rising crude oil costs. The statewide average for regular unleaded gasoline stands at $4.01 per gallon, according to AAA.
This is a 12-cent increase from last week and a 20-cent rise from the previous month. The current average price of $4.01 is also $1.12 higher than it was a year ago.
At this rate, filling a 15-gallon tank would cost approximately $60.15. Georgia's gas prices remain below their record high of $4.49 per gallon, set in June 2022, by 48 cents.
