Getchell Gold Files $1B PEA for Nevada Fondaway Canyon Project
Getchell Gold Corp (TSE:GTCH) has released a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for its Fondaway Canyon gold project in Nevada, highlighting strong economics and significant growth potential. The PEA outlines a 10-year open pit mine with projected life-of-mine production of 1.52 million ounces of gold.
The study estimates a pre-tax net present value (NPV) of US$1 billion at a gold price of US$3,200 per ounce, and rapid capital payback. This represents a more than 60% increase in base case NPV over the prior study.
Fondaway Canyon could rank among the top 10 gold mining operations in Nevada, with average annual production projected at 150,000 ounces. The project's open-ended resource expansion underscores its potential impact on Getchell Gold's future cash flow generation and competitive position among junior gold miners.
