Ghalibaf Warns US Energy Companies: 'Strike Our Assets, and You Get Struck'
Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has issued a warning to US energy companies, stating that they could face Iranian strikes if Washington goes ahead with its threat to attack Iranian oil tankers.
The warning comes after US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth threatened to 'destroy' Iranian tankers, prompting Ghalibaf's response on social media platform X.
Ghalibaf emphasized that American oil and gas companies operating in the region are vulnerable due to the sprawling and exposed nature of the oil and gas production chain. He stated, 'It's simple: strike our assets, and you get struck.'
The post included a picture of oil infrastructure with the caption 'The lost decade of the US economy is coming.' The image appears to be a visual representation of Ghalibaf's assertion about the potential consequences for US energy companies.
