Ghalibaf Warns US Energy Firms: Iran Strikes Loom if Oil Tanker Threat Realized
Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has issued a warning to US energy companies, stating that they could face Iranian strikes if Washington follows through with its threat to attack Iranian oil tankers.
Ghalibaf made the statement in response to US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's threat to 'destroy' Iranian tankers. Ghalibaf pointed out that American oil and gas companies operating in the region are exposed and vulnerable to Iranian retaliation.
'It's simple: the oil and gas production chain here is sprawling, accessible, and exposed,' Ghalibaf said. 'American oil and gas companies across these waters and facilities share that exposure.'
