Gibbs Edges Out Bell by Thin Margin at Iowa Speedway
NASCAR Cup Series driver Ty Gibbs pulled off an impressive win at Iowa Speedway on Sunday. The Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol event saw Gibbs lead the final 20 laps, edging out fellow Toyota driver Christopher Bell by a mere 0.253 seconds.
Gibbs' victory was his second of the 2026 season and moved him closer to points leader Denny Hamlin in the championship standings. Despite this gain, Hamlin still holds a significant lead with a 103-point advantage after 23 races.
Ryan Blaney led a race-high 129 laps but ultimately finished third behind Gibbs and Bell. Josh Berry secured a strong fourth-place finish for Wood Brothers Racing, while Denny Hamlin rounded out the top five following his comeback from 29th place on the grid.
