Global Ethanol Prices Plummet Across All Regions Amid Comfortable Supply Conditions
The global ethanol market experienced a broad decline in prices across all major regions in July 2026, according to recent assessments. The downward trend reflects a combination of comfortable regional availability, changing feedstock economics, cautious procurement activity, and varying demand from fuel blending and industrial applications.
Southeast Asia recorded the sharpest price correction, with ethanol prices falling by 12.6% to USD 0.90/Kg. In contrast, Northeast Asia and North America experienced moderate declines of 2.4% and 2.5%, respectively. Europe maintained the highest price among the assessed regions at USD 1.02/Kg.
The synchronized movement suggests that buyers are facing less immediate supply pressure, although regional feedstock economics and regulatory policies continue to create meaningful differences in pricing. Agricultural feedstock costs, crude oil markets, government blending mandates, production margins, and seasonal supply conditions remain key influencers of ethanol prices.
