Global Giants Predict Historic Peak in Gold Prices by 2027
The global gold market is abuzz with predictions from major institutions, including Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and UBS. These stalwarts of finance have revised their medium- to long-term forecasts for gold in response to central banks' relentless physical purchases and ongoing economic uncertainties.
Morgan Stanley predicts that the strong momentum in the market will continue, with prices potentially surpassing $5,000 by 2027. The institution notes that an ounce of gold has already reached its fourth-quarter target of $4,450, fueling optimism about future gains.
Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs have also updated their forecasts, with Wells Fargo revising its target for the end of 2026 to a range of $4,900 to $5,100, and for 2027 to a range of $5,400 to $5,600. Goldman Sachs sees strong signals that even its target of $4,900 by the end of 2026 could be exceeded.
UBS emphasizes that potential pullbacks in gold prices should not scare investors, as corrections can offer opportunities for long-term investments. The bank forecasts that demand for gold will remain robust with a weakening dollar and falling interest yields, predicting that the $5,000 mark will be reached in the first half of 2027.
