Global Gold Prices Drop Amid Local Decline

The global gold market experienced a decline in prices on Thursday, with a $35 drop per ounce to $4,605. Locally, the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs3,500 per tola to Rs483,036 and Rs3,001 to Rs414,125 for 10 grams.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported this decrease in local market prices. In contrast, the price of silver increased by Rs50 per tola to Rs7,329, with a corresponding rise of Rs43 to Rs6,283 for 10 grams.

The previous day's gold market was closed due to the public holiday marking Eid Miladun-Nabi. On Tuesday, the price of gold had declined by Rs600 to close at Rs486,536 per tola and Rs417,126 for 10 grams.
