Global Gold Prices Plummet as Domestic Markets Reflect Global Trend
Gold prices plummeted across the board on September 6, 2026, marking the end of the weekend. According to Vietnam.vn, domestic gold prices fell sharply, following the downward trend of global prices.
The price of 99.99% pure gold rings and SJC gold bars at major domestic gold trading brands decreased by up to 1 million VND/ounce compared to yesterday's prices. The selling price of SJC gold bars is now 147.6 million VND/ounce.
The global gold market experienced a volatile trading week, with bargain-hunting buying emerging after a sharp drop. According to a Kitco survey, 38% of experts expect gold to rise next week, while 31% predict a decline and 31% believe prices will remain stable.
