Global Macro Forces Converge on Hard Assets
The convergence of fiscal stress, dollar weakness, Central Bank Gold buying, and Chinese capital flows is strengthening the case for Gold, Silver, and Commodities.
U.S. fiscal deterioration is accelerating, with a $1.8 trillion deficit in the first 10 months of fiscal 2026 already exceeding the deficit recorded for the whole of fiscal 2025.
The dollar's weakness and fading expectations of another Federal Reserve rate increase are strengthening demand for bullion, with Gold climbing above $4,400 an ounce and Silver trading above $66 on Monday.
China's crackdown on offshore wealth is also adding to the hard-asset trade, with Chinese citizens pouring billions into Gold-backed funds and Beijing introducing tougher rules targeting offshore trusts.
Lars Hansen, Head of Research at The Gold & Silver Club, notes that 'fiscal stress, monetary uncertainty, Central-Bank buying, Chinese demand, and structural Commodity scarcity are beginning to reinforce each other.'
