Global Markets Mixed as Oil Prices Ease
Global stock markets were mixed on Friday, following a modest decline on Wall Street the previous day.
The price of Brent crude oil slipped 0.3% to $82.26 per barrel, while US benchmark crude oil edged lower by 0.1% to $77.19.
In early European trading, Germany's DAX rose 0.7% to 26,329.28, and the CAC 40 in Paris gained 0.3% to 8,728.22.
The Shanghai Composite index, however, surged 1% to 3,940.04 after China reported a 24% increase in exports in July, driven by strong demand for electronics and other high-tech products.
Despite concerns over the Strait of Hormuz, which remains partially closed due to tensions between Iran and the US, oil prices have eased slightly.
