Global Oil Prices Surge Amid Shifting Market Dynamics
Global crude oil markets experienced an upward trend on August 2nd as investors monitored supply conditions and shifting dynamics across energy markets. Major benchmarks, including West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures and Brent crude, posted gains with WTI rising by 1.29% to $84.67 per barrel and Brent advancing by 1.21% to $87.93 per barrel.
The OPEC Basket, a key regional benchmark, jumped 2.95% to $88.39 per barrel, while the Indian Basket recorded the largest increase in the session with a gain of 5.47% to $88.87 per barrel. In contrast, energy products showed mixed performance with natural gas declining by 0.40% and gasoline slipping by 0.55%. Heating oil fell by 0.81%
