Global Stock Markets Mixed as Oil Prices Fall
Global stock markets are mixed on Friday following a modest decline in US shares. Despite this, some European indices show positive growth. Germany's DAX rose 0.7% to 26,329.28, while the CAC 40 in Paris gained 0.3% to 8,728.22.
Britain's FTSE 100 was up 0.5% at 10,925.78. The S&P 500 futures rose 0.2%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures remained nearly unchanged. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 dropped 0.1% to 65,606.71.
The Shanghai Composite index gained 1% to 3,940.04 after China reported a 24% growth in exports for July due to strong demand for electronics and other high-tech products. This news contributed to China's trade surplus narrowing last month and imports slowing down.
Oil prices have fallen slightly, with Brent crude dropping 0.3% to $82.26 per barrel and US benchmark crude oil edging 0.1% lower to $77.19 per barrel. The Strait of Hormuz conflict remains a concern for the global oil market.
