Global Trends Send Crude Oil Prices Plummeting in India

Crude oil prices fell in India's futures trade on Thursday due to weak global trends. The price of crude oil for September delivery dropped by 1.6% in a business turnover of 7,020 lots.

Analysts pointed out that the prices declined after participants offloaded their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 1.33% to $81.14 per barrel, while Brent crude declined 1.17% to $86.81 per barrel in New York.
