GMS Secures 183-Day Contract Extension in Middle East
Gulf Marine Services (GMS) has secured a contract extension for one of its Small-class self-elevating support vessels operating in the Middle East. The 183-day extension, awarded under an existing agreement, will enable the vessel to continue supporting offshore maintenance activities without interruption.
The contract also includes two additional three-month extension options, further increasing GMS's potential earnings from the project. With a current contract backlog of $659 million, this extension supports continued fleet utilization amid strong demand for offshore support vessels in the region.
GMS operates a fleet of 15 self-propelled, self-elevating support vessels serving offshore oil and gas and renewable energy markets. According to Mansour Al Alami, GMS Executive Chairman, 'We are delighted to have secured this extension, which reflects the confidence our clients continue to place in GMS to deliver safe and reliable support for their offshore operations.'
The extension is a testament to GMS's ability to provide essential services to major national oil companies. With its current contract backlog at $659 million, GMS remains committed to delivering on its objectives.
