Goa Government Assures Stable Fuel Supplies Amid Global Tensions
Goa's government has assured residents that supplies of petrol, diesel, and LPG remain stable despite global geopolitical developments. Secretary of Civil Supplies Sanjeev Gadkar stated there is no need for panic buying.
The state has seen a drop in daily LPG bookings from 13,000 in March to around 8,900 in April. Over 430 enforcement raids have been conducted by district authorities and Oil Marketing Companies to prevent hoarding and black marketing.
The government is supporting vulnerable groups, issuing over 11,000 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinders this month to migrant workers and students without local address proof. Around 90% of consumers are now using digital booking systems and Delivery Authentication Codes, improving transparency.
