Golar LNG Doubles Down on FLNG Expansion with $2.45 Billion Order
Golar LNG has announced an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) deal worth $2.45 billion for its fourth floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessel with Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore.
The new FLNG will have a 3.5 million tons of LNG per annum (mtpa) capacity and is expected to be delivered by year-end 2029, making it the earliest available FLNG capacity globally.
Golar LNG's CEO Karl Fredrik Staubo said: 'We are pleased to announce the ordering of Golar's 4th FLNG unit... We believe this FLNG order, combining the world’s earliest available FLNG delivery and Golar’s market leading operational track record, is well positioned to provide prospective clients with an attractive gas monetization solution.'
The order follows Golar LNG's closing of a new $600 million senior secured revolving credit facility (RCF).
