Golar LNG, Seatrium Partner on Third Floating LNG Conversion Project

Seatrium and Golar LNG are expanding their partnership to develop floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) vessels, with a new project in the works. The companies have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a potential third FLNG conversion project, building on their previous collaboration on the Hilli Episeyo and Gimi FLNG vessels.

The proposed project will further expand Golar's portfolio of FLNG assets as operators increasingly look to floating liquefaction solutions to monetize offshore gas resources that may not justify large, land-based LNG developments. FLNG facilities can reduce development timelines and infrastructure requirements while enabling production from remote gas fields.
