Golar LNG secured a $600 million senior secured revolving credit facility to support its floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) growth strategy. The financing is backed by ABN AMRO, Citibank, Danske Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank, and is secured against the MK II FLNG.

The credit facility will enable Golar LNG to accelerate its expansion plans in the floating LNG market. The company has received final approvals for a 20-year charter of Hilli FLNG and MK II FLNG in Argentina, which will deliver a combined 6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG production capacity.

Meanwhile, Shell's joint venture, New Providence Gas (NPG), signed a charter agreement with ECOnnect Energy to deploy the IQuay C-Class jettyless floating LNG system at a new Bahamas LNG terminal. The solution is designed to simplify LNG import infrastructure while reducing construction complexity and costs.
