Gold and Silver Prices Dip Amid Higher Crude Oil Prices
The market for gold and silver saw a marginal decline on July 24 as investors booked profits amidst higher crude oil prices and an elevated US Dollar Index. The international spot gold price dropped by 0.16% to $4,043.60 per ounce, while silver declined by 0.46% to $57.78 per ounce during the morning trade on Comex.
The domestic MCX gold closed at Rs 1,44,091 per 10 grams on July 23, with the futures gold for the August contract declining by 1.98% to Rs 1,42,796 per 10 grams and silver futures for the September contract decreasing by 3.41% to Rs 2,19,250 per kilogram.
The market is now awaiting fresh triggers from crude oil prices, the US Dollar Index, and the US Federal Reserve's policy decision on July 29.
